What is your earliest memory connected to music?

When I was 4 or 5 my family had an old dusty keyboard and I remember messing around and playing it in our apartment overlooking the Chicago skyline

How did your passion for creating music begin?

Ive always had a love for music and my passion for creating music came from me finding a song I liked and just wanting to recreate it and have a piece of it for myself. Like the first time I opened garage band up was when I hear T-pain for the first time and I wanted to figure out how me made his voice like that and I made my own rnb song (that was totally

awful haha) and messed around with auto tune just like he did.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

My current project is me just trying to put all the aspects of dance/edm that I like into one. I picture myself trying to make music that if someone was walking around a festival and something caught their attention from a stage who they have never heard of is playing and ends up becoming one of their favorite artists.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music

before?

Haha that’s tough because I’m not really sure how to describe my own music. I’m kind of genre fluid in that I don’t always stick to the same sound. But I would say euphoric, high energy dance music that blends nostalgic melodies, candy coated synth leads, and powerful basslines into an immersive festival ready sound.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Honestly for many years I was super not confident in my music and that I hated hearing my own songs. I felt like I constantly compared my music to other artists and felt that mine always fell short. However in 2025 Slander picked my song to win the 2025 Discovery Project for EDC Las Vegas and got the opportunity to play there. The biggest take away from that experience was that I finally felt that my music was actually good enough all along.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

Log pro! I know i’m kind of an outcast in that all my peers use Ableton but ive been using garage band back in 2007 and moved on to logic. I just feel that it is more song writer friendly because I work with midi and not so much audio. So my AKAI keyboard is also something of a must have.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

Porter Robinson and Ninajirachi’s I wanna cry song. I keep hearing them tease it and can’t wait for it to finally release. Also Gleame had popped up on my radar and has some really addictive hooks in her music that i’m really liking

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Ive been going to raves and festivals since I was in high school and I want to write music that captures that feeling of being in a crowd lost but the music just grounds you and takes you away where for a split second nothing else matters.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

My music is super emotional and high energy. I want the listener to not only hear but to feel it kind of like when you hear your favorite song and at that one party you really like chills run down your arms and spine and euphoria rushes over you.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Never give up. So many times I thought that nothing would come of it or no one would listen to my music but as long as you keep going the dream is still alive and the world has a funny way of surprising you. So never stop dreaming because as long as you wake up and show up everyday anything can happen.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

Well if you had asked me a year ago I would have said EDC but I got to perform here last year after winning the Discovery Project contest. However ive been attending my hometown festival called North Coast every year since 2011 and have always dreamed of playing there! Also would love to play at Red Rocks since it’s such an iconic venue.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

Hands down Porter Robinson. He is so musically gifted and every project he releases just out does the last. When I first heard words I was so inspired to capture a piece of that for myself and I feel my music really does show my love and inspiration from him

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical

journey?

I’m not

really sure. I kind of just focused on the now and what present. I want to continue growing a fan base and making music that really resonates with people all over the world. My dream is for more people to discover and share their love for my music and to see where this journey takes me.
