What is your earliest memory connected to music?

One of my earliest memories about liking music was listening to jazz on the radio with my babysitter cousin Eddie. I was about 5. I asked him what kind of music was playing because I liked it. He said, that’s jazz.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

I played classical piano growing up and always loved the angry composers like Beethoven and Rachmaninov. I love creating and playing passionate, emotional music.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

Cam and I met via a Craigslist musician ad over 4 years ago. In the time since, we’ve bonded over our shared love for writing music and lyrics. We were initially drawn together by our shared love of post-punk bands like Joy Division.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

Dark, melodic post punk with a grunge rock bent.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Try new things.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

I use my phone and Google docs to scribble down lyrics for the band. I’m personally a logic enthusiast when it comes to DAWs.  Sometimes I’ll try out melodies on my weighted keyboard.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

I’ve been living Cosmetics, a Vancouver based darkwave band that was around a while back. Their music is beautiful and moving.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Oh, tremendously influenced! I write about my own personal relationships, experiences and a hell of a lot of trauma. I also write lyrics about hope and finding freedom through expression. My life and my work are mirrors to each other.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

You’re not alone.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

That I’m not alone! I love finding and working with like minded people who also share my love of creating and playing music. There’s a very lovely vibrancy to choosing to play music that is very special to share.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

I would love to play The Gorge in Washington State. I grew up going to festivals there and it’s an enormously beautiful natural ampitheatre with excellent views and seating.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

Maybe David Lynch. He does some really cool collabs and has such a cohesive artistic vision.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

Keep jamming and playing shows summer 2026! I imagine we will also be working on some fresh stuff for next year. I love writing.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?
