Psst It’s Raining is the Debut Album of the Swiss Band Drop the Spoon consisting of Lucas  Sevilla on Guitar, FX, Nils Stricker on Drums and Electronics and Lennart Schandl on Bass,  FX. On nine Tracks molded to a single Longplayer piece, the listener might embark on a  sonic journey that takes them from the Amazonian Rainforest to Outer Space and eventually  back home. One could also say: Experimental Sounddesign, Post Rock, Contemporary  Jazz, Psychedelic Music and Field recordings are terms to describe the Album. But that’s  Boring. 

What is your earliest memory connected to music? 

We don’t remember. It just happened suddenly and intensly. 

How did your passion for creating music begin? 

With the need for expression. 

What’s the story behind your current music project? 

We startet to do improvised Jams as a duo and recorded all Session. Then we went  through the recorded Material and worked on the moments we liked and started creating  the structures for our songs. In the Studio we recorded only the improvised parts and  then we created the structure of the album during post-production using our own  fieldrecordings and adding overdub layers. 

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music  before? 

It has an athmospheric and melancholic essence which takes into a journey you can not  fight back to. 

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music? It will never sound the same on the next day. 

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process? Our Instruments and a recording Tape

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Definitively. 

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work? Whateverer emotions our music makes them resonnate with. There is no wrong and right. 

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far? To care deeply about the music.  

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at? Maybe Fusion Festival in Berlin.
