What is your earliest memory connected to music?
Leo: My first core memory of music was when I heard Linkin Park for the first time, it was the first time I felt spoken to through music.
Dallas: I remember when was riding with my dad in his mustang and he would put on Green Day and Nirvana, definitely influencing my tastes today.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
Leo: As a kid I always saw my dad playing the piano or working on garageband and I always thought it was incredible.
Shark: When I first listened to the five nights at freddys living tombstones song
Dallas: Watching my first Limp Bizkit concert and thinking I want to do this one day.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
Leo: We became a full band a little over a year ago, originally I was looking for a backing band but as we started to write together, we started to elevate eachother’s writing, making a new sound for us as a band.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
Dallas: Our writing is pretty heavily influenced by 2nd wave emo such as mineral with modern production influences from EDM pop such as Charli XCX.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
Leo: Working with Dallas and Lorenzo has helped me break out of my past writing patterns and embracing new ideas.
Shark: Since we all have different influences its become exciting to see how we can blend all our styles together.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
Shark: We use Logic Pro X to track and write all our demos, we have had the opportunity to use our local college’s recording studio to track our songs analog. For our guitars we get our authentic tone from using single coil strats and jazzmasters. Going forward we are going to be utilizing more of our 7 string in our production.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
Dallas: Between Tides by DIIV has been on repeat for me recently.
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
Leo: As the main lyricist I try to write about past experiences, my fears for the future, and the feelings I’m going through.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
Leo: I hope that anyone listening to our music feels less alone, that its okay for them to experience the feelings they’re feeling, and that we can get through it.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Shark: Music has taught me self discipline, consistency, and has been a way for me to express myself.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
Leo: The dream venue has and always will be the basements, living rooms, and packed out dives filled with our closest friends screaming every lyric back at us.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
Dallas: Free Throw would be an incredible band to get to collaborate with, their writing and dual vocals are amazing.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
Leo: Our dream as a band in this next chapter is expanding our touring act, being able to travel and perform with other bands across the country would be incredible!
