dumomi

Adenuga Adedumomi is a born Nigerian – British artiste who is passionate about music and the emotions it births in. He likes to regard himself as a creative despite the circumstances considering he raps, sings and produces and these interests were cultivated as a result of persistency and practice.

What is your earliest memory connected to music?

Honestly, my earliest memory is my dad playing piano in the house every other day and thereafter enrolling in piano lessons as a kid. I think that was the first time I realised music had the power to change the whole energy of a room.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

It started with a keen interest in learning my favorite songs word for ford and from there I started messing around with melodies of my own in my head. But it really became serious when I discovered I could actually create full songs on my laptop by myself, That freedom got me hooked.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

This new project is Titled “Murs Brises” basically me stepping into a more refined version of myself. It’s about growth, heartbreak, self-worth, and the journey of a guy who’s seen a lot but still wants to love and enjoy life. Every track is a combination of different moods that all connect back to who I’m becoming.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

My sound feels like Afrofusion meeting emotion. Smooth, rhythmic, soulful, but with energy. It’s for people who want to feel something and still dance. Melodies you remember, lyrics that hit your chest, vibes that stick.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Understanding the difference between Hunger and Creativity and the role struggle has to play in all this

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

My process lives in the studio. FL Studio, Mixcraft, Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects, a good mic, clean headphones, and my voice — those are my main instruments. I love crafting melodies, engineering my sound, and building layers until the song feels alive.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

I’ve been vibing to a lot of rising Afrofusion talents, there’s this artist named Eniggy. I listen to him alot. A song I’m loving right now is “Getting Paid” by Sarz

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Everything I’ve lived through shows up in my music — the highs, the lows, the relationships, the grind of being an emerging artist, even the quiet moments in the studio when it’s just me and my thoughts. My life shapes the vision every time.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

I want people to feel understood. To feel joy, healing, confidence, and connection. If you’re going through something, I want my music to sit with you. If you’re celebrating, I want to be part of that moment too.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Patience. And trusting the process. Great music isn’t rushed — it’s crafted. And every setback is just part of the story.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

Coachella, Afro Nation, Glastonbury — places where the energy is massive and the crowd is ready to feel something real. I see myself on those stages soon.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

I’d love to collaborate with Rema or Wizkid, their artistry is elite. Internationally, someone like Drake or JayZ too.
