Amelina is an 12 years old artist dedicated to creating unique musical experiences that touch hearts and move souls.

What is your earliest memory connected to music?

I’m lucky – I grew up in a very musical family. My dad played in a rock band as a student, so there was always music at home, and I was always singing along to whatever was playing. I did try Suzuki violin when I was little, but honestly it didn’t feel like “me”- maybe the method or maybe the instrument. What did feel like me was doing things on my own: trying, making mistakes, trying again until it works.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

I don’t really think of it as “creating from nothing.” I feel like I’m expressing music -reproducing it in a way that carries emotion. My dad writes the songs based on what I’m feeling and going through, and I focus on singing them truthfully so people can hear the story inside.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

My current project is built around growing up step by step. I moved from Russia to Spain, learned a new language, a new school system and built a new life piece by piece. My dad once told me, “You don’t have to jump to the top – just go step by step,” and that sentence became the heart of my single “Step by Step.” My songs now- like “A New Year’s Wish” and “Roblox Realms” – are little chapters about finding your place without losing your dreams.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

Cinematic teen pop-rock with hope inside. Piano and guitars, open vocals, and a movie-like feeling, but always honest-like talking to a friend.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

That perfection isn’t the goal – connection is. I stopped chasing “flawless” and started asking, “Does this feel true?” It changed how I sing and how I record.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

Honestly: guitar, voice, and a phone mic. We don’t even have a proper home studio yet. Most ideas start as voice notes, then we build them up when we can.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

I really like Russian-language artists Alyona Shvets and Monetochka – their songs feel very heartfelt. In general, I’m drawn to artists who mix honest lyrics with big, emotional choruses. I love voices that sound a bit vulnerable but still strong, especially when they write about school, friends, and identity.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Almost everything I sing comes from real life: moving countries, feeling like an outsider, missing my old home, then slowly building a new one. School stress, new friendships, performing in a new language – all of that shapes my songs and how I want them to feel: truthful, encouraging, and a little cinematic.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

I hope they feel understood and a bit braver. You don’t have to be perfect or ready – you can move forward in small steps. If someone listens and thinks, “I’ll try again,” that’s exactly the message.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Growth takes time. Practice, patience, and tiny daily decisions matter. Being sensitive isn’t a weakness – it’s what lets you connect.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

A big open-air festival at sunset where the crowd sings the chorus back. I also love beautiful theatres that feel like fairy-tale spaces.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

From the present, maybe Miley Cyrus, because “The Climb” is a huge reference for “Step by Step” and I love how she uses her voice emotionally. From the past, Ozzy Osbourne. I grew up around rock stories from my dad, and I love the idea of mixing my pop-rock side with a true rock legend’s energy – just one powerful, unexpected song.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

My dream is to keep growing without losing the joy, to grow more independent—to express ideas more by myself . I want to release more songs that feel like chapters of one big story, play more live shows in different countries, and maybe one day create a full concept album – almost like a musical about a girl who moves, falls, gets back up and learns to trust herself. I also want to collaborate with other young artists and show that teenagers can create serious, meaningful music too.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

I hope they discover that behind the songs there is a real person who is still learning, making mistakes, and figuring things out – just like them. I’m not a superhero; I’m just someone who decided to turn my struggles into music instead of silence. And I hope they see that if I can move countries, start over and still follow my dream, maybe they can follow theirs too, step by step.

Thanks a lot!
