What is your earliest memory connected to music?

Listening to an artist whose sound really spoke to me. Nobody in my family played music much, but that moment made me feel deeply connected to my inner self, like music understood me before I even understood myself.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

It started from the way music made me feel, whenever I listen to songs and end up singing something that’s not related to the song and the artist. I feel every emotion in the songs I listen to, and over time, I wanted to express my own feelings. Making music became my way of finding peace and connecting with my thoughts.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

It’s about fighting through self-doubt, anxiety, and the pressure to always seem okay. This project is my way of using music to heal myself and show the real emotions people hide. Its main theme is turning pain, fear, and imperfection into strength and clarity, reminding listeners that these struggles are part of being human. Every song is personal, and I hope people feel that vulnerability and realize they’re not alone, and that healing and clarity are possible — all while staying true to my Afro-pop sound.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

My sound is introspective and vulnerable, blending vocals, lyrics, rhythm, and melody to create an emotional vibe that connects deeply with listeners. It’s reflective and uplifting, I want people to reflect on their emotions, feel inspired, and realize they’re not alone in their struggles, all within an Afro-pop framework

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

I learned that being vulnerable and honest in my music changes everything. After making a vulnerable cover of another artist’s song, I realized people connect more with music that’s relatable. Since then, I’ve focused on showing raw emotions in my own songs, making my music more personal and impactful.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

I create primarily in a professional studio, where keyboards are a key part of shaping my melodies. I also rely on phone pads and a voice recorder to capture ideas whenever inspiration strikes, making sure no moment or emotion is lost in the creative process.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

Right now, I’m loving the vibes of BNXN, Llona and Omah Lay. Their music blends emotion and rhythm in a way that really resonates with me, and I always find inspiration in their storytelling and sound.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

My struggles with self-doubt, anxiety, and pain deeply shape my music. They influence the messages I share, the lyrics I write, and the emotions I convey. I create music both to heal myself and to help others feel seen, understood, and inspired to face their own challenges.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

I want my listeners to feel comfort, self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment through my music. At the same time, I aim to share messages of self-awareness, acceptance, and mental clarity — helping people connect with their emotions and find strength in their own journeys.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Music has taught me to embrace my emotions, stay resilient through struggles, and use creativity as a way to heal myself and gain mental clarity.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

I dream of performing on both local and global stages. One of my top venues is the The O2 Arena in London, and the Royal Albert Hall

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

I’d love to collaborate with Wizkid, Burna Boy, Friday, or Llona. Wizkid inspired me to sing early on, Burna showed me it’s never too late to shine, and their music continues to shape my sound.
