Formula Indie Sessions _ Interview with LOOSE

Loose

Introduction of the project

What is your earliest memory connected to music?

My earliest memory goes back to my childhood in the 1960’s.

Once I saw the Beatles on tv and I was mesmerized. I wanted to

imitate them, so I found a broom in the kitchen, I put a cord on it as

a guitar strap, I climbed up on the dining table and started jumping and

shouting like crazy.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

I was about 16 years old but I still did not play any instrument.

I  studied architecture in a college and played football in the school’s

football team. I did not show any interest in learning music. One day

everything changed. A schoolmate started to play the guitar and he invited

me to visit his guitar tuitor. I went with him and I had taken a liking to learn

to play the guitar. Very quickly I fell in love with music. Beside the guitar, I

started to play the bassguitar and a bit later I also learnt to sing and play

piano. I hardly knew the basic cords on guitar I already started to write

songs. I thought to myself, I found my way in life. Making music became my

passion. Writing and performing my own songs is the best way to express my

creativity.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

The world is changing, humanity is awakening all around the globe.

News are fake, politicians are not accountable, the mainstream media manipulates

human perseption with fearmongering. There’s a psychological warfare, a final

fight between the good and the bad forces. My current project is a call for

alignment with the sons of light, the good forces.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

My sound is basically similar to the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s classic rock sound,

an old school retro sound mixed with digital techniques.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

The evolution of the digital technology and applications, computers and

DAWs have completely changed the way I make music.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

At the moment I use a high quality and powerful Lenovo pro laptop

with the new Cakewalk Sonar DAW, so no Mac, no Pro Tools. I know that

nowadays most of the musicians work with Pro Tools but I am satisfied

with my stuff. I mostly work with Roland synthesizers and Fender guitars.

For drum sounds, I like the Addictive Drum 2. and for vocal I have a RODE

NT1-A microphone. Moreover I use Yamaha HS5 active studio monitors and

a SURE SRH440 pro studio headphones to mix music.

All in all, these are my essentials.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

One of my favourite band is THE JUDAS KISS with a track called

The Eternal Flame.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

I am awakening and questening everything because nothing is reliable.

I am spiritual and so I try to write meaningful and thought-provoking

music with depth for my listeners.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

Hopefully my listeners take good vibes, uncondicional love and

awareness from my work.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Be independent, stay humble and don’t chase fake illusions.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

I’ve never thought of a dream venue or festival to perform at.

Especially not now when I work alone as a 4-piece band. I don’t plan

any live show because I would need minimum 4-5 pro musicians  to

perform with me live on stage.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

If I could I would collaborate with one of my idols from the past like

David Gilmour or Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, but I am not a big fan of

collaboration. I did many times in the past but it did not work out for me.

I’d like to create music alone.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

It’s very simple, I want more listeners. My dream is to have a huge fan base.

When I release a new track or album, I send out an important message to the world.

Obviously, I want more and more people to take and understand my messages.

Hopefully, this way together we can make the world a better place.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

I hope listeners will realize that I am an “out of the crowd” guy.

I also hope, listeners will discover that my sound is quite different from

others, my music has depth, value and lots of good vibes.
