Formula Indie Sessions _ Interview with BaronAC

Introduction of the project
What is your earliest memory connected to music?
Listening to the raw sound of Beatles’ vinyl records at My best friend’s home. I remember being fascinated by how a simple needle could unleash such a powerful energy.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
It started with a guitar and the need to express what words alone couldn’t say. I’ve always seen music as a physical necessity, a way to channel energy.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
BaronAC is the result of 40 years of “sweat and strings.” It’s an independent project born to bring back a direct, authentic rock sound, sung in Italian but with an international heartbeat.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
It’s “A mix of Rock.” Clean but powerful, focused on the groove and the emotional impact of the lyrics. It’s the sound of someone who has nothing to hide. Lots of influences, grunge, rock’n’roll, metal, Nirvana, Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
I learned that “less is more.” You don’t need a thousand layers to hit the listener; you just need the right vibration and a sincere message.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
I play the guitar and the bass live, and all the instruments in logic . But not too much. Only drum, violins. And I sing all my songs. I do it all by myself. And, as I wrote above, logic on Mac. Nothing else
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
Me? Hahahhahahhahahah
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
I am a Judo Black Belt. Martial arts taught me discipline, respect, and how to use my opponent’s energy. I apply the same philosophy to music: every note is a move, every song is a combat.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
Resilience. My latest single “Damned” is about facing our inner demons and finding the strength to keep going, no matter what.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Patience and perseverance. Being at number 217 in the Italian Indie Charts (MEI) after only 3 days of rotation on the international radio and seeing my music played in London and Usa and China and Canada And more taught me that hard work eventually pays off.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
Playing at a major European rock festival like Glastonbury or Reading would be a dream, but honestly, any stage where people are ready to sweat with me is a good stage.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Billy Corgan. They are simply the best for me. They are my all . My life, my inspiration

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
To keep touring and crossing borders. After the recent heavy rotation in the UK, I want to bring my music live to as many countries as possible.
What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?
That I’m authentic. What they hear in the records is exactly who I am: a guy with a guitar and a story to tell.
