What is your earliest memory connected to music?

When I was a kid, my father bought me a Carlos Santana album for Christmas. I didn’t really care at the time — I was just a child who preferred the new FIFA or LEGO sets 😀 Years later I started seeing it differently. He simply wanted me to share his passion. I think he succeeded 😊

How did your passion for creating music begin?

In high school, my friend wanted to become a rapper. I had the brilliant idea that if he rapped, I’d be the beatmaker. Over time, he stopped being interested in this thing, but I got deeper and deeper into it. The hip-hop influence stayed with me, but I gradually leaned toward calmer sounds — that’s why I make lo-fi hip-hop today.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

As I mentioned before, I’ve always preferred calmer sounds and was drawn to lo-fi hip-hop. In 2020 I decided I didn’t want to work with rappers anymore and started releasing my own lo-fi beats. It completely absorbed me.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

Sometimes it’s calm music filled with nature sounds, soft piano, and warm pads. Other times it’s jazzhop that feels like a smoky bar — with guitar, double bass, drums, and saxophone. Lo-fi in its full range😊

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

I used to think using presets was cheating. That I should build every sound myself and even handle the smallest details in the mix. Later, on one course, I saw that a professional mixing and mastering engineer simply uses presets as well. It changed my approach and improved my sound and understanding of its’ creation.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

I create all my music in FL Studio. I really like Kontakt libraries from Native Instruments — The Gentleman, Electric Keys Phoenix, Soul Sessions. I also collaborate with musicians who record live instruments and add their parts to my tracks.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

I love everything ptr. releases. Every week he delivers new lo-fi on a very high level. And of course my favourite saxophonist — Malosax, with whom I’ve recorded several tracks. I check every release they put out.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

The last two years were difficult, so I spent very little time making music — and when I released something, it was usually quite sad. God helped me a lot; He brings light into my life, and that is reflected in what I create today. I think you can hear the difference between Kubuch from 2024/2025 and now😊

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

Definitely peace and happiness. We live in a difficult world — constantly in rush, chasing money and happiness. Everyone needs something that helps them slow down and relax. I hope I contribute to that in some way.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Music taught me patience, discipline, and the joy of creating it. There is nothing better than spending a few hours making music. Whether you release it or not doesn’t really matter — what matters is the time spent creating. Some of my tracks are recorded with a great guitarist, Adam Dejnarowicz, who is also my brother-in-law. Creating with family is a privilege not everyone has. That’s real quality time!

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

I’m not sure there is such a festival for me 😉 It’s enough if someone simply plays my music in their free time. I once received a message from a listener saying my music helped him during a hard time — that was heart warming. I would rather receive more messages like that than play big festivals.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

I imagine a track where Kenny Burrell records guitar especially for me, and Mac Miller raps over it 😉

Where can our listeners follow and support your music? (Website,Spotify, IG, links)

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

I would like to release an EP with Lofi Girl someday. That’s probably my main dream goal for now.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

That there is a real person behind the music — not just beats or sound design, but someone who goes through ups and downs, and puts those experiences into sound.
