Alpha-Pet-2025-Horizontal-2-Photo-Fred-Nyman (1) (1)

Answered by Alpha Pet’s singer and guitarist Rocky 3000.

What is your earliest memory connected to music?

Getting Kiss – Dynasty on CD for Christmas, fighting with the neighbours kids about which one of us would be Gene Simmons while “performing” and trying to stretch out our tongues as long as possible.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

By being too bad at playing other people’s music.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

During the pandemic while our other bands were put on hold, to keep us sharp we tried playing other peoples songs. Like Fontaines D.C., The Clash and Devo. But we got tired of being bad at that and started writing our own songs.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

Like Fontaines D.C-, The Clash and Devo with a touch of Prince.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Less is more, no matter what Yngwie says.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

My phone. Being able to record ideas or write down lyrics in an instant has saved a lot of ideas from being lost in the brain fog.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

Our friends Siri and Tilde in Endless Dreamers have released some really great power pop anthems this year. Two great singers that lended their voices to our song Don’t Be Shy.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Waking up every day or to quote “Disco Elysium”: “The limbed and headed machine of pain and undignified suffering is firing up again. It wants to walk the desert. Hurting. Longing. Dancing to disco music”.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

You’re not allowed to ask me that.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Being open minded about new things.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

KEXP or anywhere in Japan.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

Mozart. Just imagine asking him to work his magic over our three chord songs.

Where can our listeners follow and support your music? (Website,Spotify, IG, links)

Buy our music on bandcamp or through our label Rama Lama. Or listen on streaming services. Follow us on social media. It’s all here

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

To have our song “Wow” featured in the next “Forza Horizon”.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

That we tried our best.

If you want here you can add a representative Youtube video to insert below the interview 🙂
