Formula Indie Sessions _ Interview with AGNIS

Thank you for inviting me!
What is your earliest memory connected to music?
My grandma holding my hand over the piano keyboard and pressing her finger on my so I could play the piano key, I was 4.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
The same piano I spent a lot of time in my grandma’s home, a piano stands there still. She showed me how to play the first melodies, I still remember them. When I discovered how the piano works I started to recreate main themes of my favorite movies, after that I started creating my own melodies.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
AGNIS is my 3rd project. I started in Desdemona as a frontgirl, lyricist, singer and composed one song for our one album Endorphins (Euphoria). Then I started my own band Red Storm where I was the main composer/producer. Finally I decided to work alone and created AGNIS.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
Lady Gaga x Nine Inch Nails x IAMX 😛
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music? I’ll save you the honest answer as it’s sad
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process? I start composing with piano, then I record it and add other instruments and vocals, I love
using Studio One and instruments from my favorite brand.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
Can’t say it’s indie, maybe partial. Lord Of The Lost x IAMX “What Have We Become”. I just love when Chris Corner enters with his voice and piano chords, mixed with Chis Harms’s harsh powerful voice and the mix of their music is what gives me chills.
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision? With age and life experience I learned not to get too emotional about all the ups and
downs on my showbiz path. I like to think that with my music I can influence the world around me.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work? To be their true self. To not be afraid of showing their power. To be proud of who they
are. To use the magic in them. To see the magic around. To embrace both darkness and light and find balance in them.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Music brings people together and this is why I love it so much!
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
It was Wave Gothic Treffen but I did it last year, so now I’m just open to what awaits me.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why? Queen – it was my first love.
IAMX – we share the same music vision
LOTL – I’m sure this would be super fun to do
Bear McCreary – I would love to add his orchestration to my witchpop
Where can our listeners follow and support your music? (Website,Spotify, IG, links) Do check out this all in one link and join the magic!
Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
Would love to hit all the alternative summer festivals as the energy there is the best – summer, fun, holidays…
What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way? Would love to be appreciated by my holistic approach to music production and for rising
spirits and making people feel more positive.
