Introduction of the Project
What is your earliest memory connected to music?
I was in my 9-5 job and I discovered FL Studio (version 11) and next thing I know I was
creating out of tune mashups of totally different bpm songs, it was mayhem. 😁
How did your passion for creating music begin?
I started because I wanted to create songs that sounded only in my head, and I started
pursuing those ideas through DAW studies and a lot of midnight hours awake.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
HollowFate’s meaning it’s a secret that I will reveal when I’m ready to do so.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
I describe my music as a nostalgia trip that meets bassy and dark sounds.
I don’t really mention genres but I think I’m inside the Bass Music spectrum.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
I like to explore myself and meditate inner thoughts, and each time I find
myself thinking about my next track, I think I evolve a little bit in my own creative process.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
I love using everything that has a saw wave as a init preset. Most of my creative process
happens when I imagine certain sounds in my head and I start to pursue them.
I actually am loving Serum, Vital and Kontakt a lot.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
Marie Chain, MIILA, Nemexi, Repiet, Neziel, Castion and Skrillex are a few of the names
that come to mind when I think of admiration and inspiration.
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
Quite a lot. I grew up struggling to survive. When you spawn in Cuba, you kinda develop
a life that doesn’t really give the chance to make art, but I fought for what I love and I still do.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
emotional growth, perseverance, endurance, you can do it, make it worth it, you are worthy,
don’t stop, don’t give up, be present, love, and enjoy your journey as much as possible.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
We need to be kinder to each other, we need each other, as humans, we need to break
the cycle of hate that every single distracting thing starts. Music is a sanctuary, as other
arts are, to make you value other people and to learn from yourself.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
I don’t currently have a favourite place, I think there’s a lot of amazing places, but if I had
to think about one, I would love to perform at Ziggo Dome one day.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
past: Hardwell. He still is one of my idols.
Present: 2025 Skrillex. I’ve always felt identified with his style and message.
Where can our listeners follow and support your music? (Website, Spotify, IG, links)
I actually have all of my content indexed to my Linktree, which is
https://linktr.ee/hollowfate
Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
I’m aiming to create two sagas of songs now: one song for each planet of the solar system,
and one song for each of the Zodiac Signs, I intend to finish this by the year 2028,
while still releasing singles that are not completely involved here but somehow related to
these topics. I strongly believe that your music influences who you are, and I aim to use
cosmic energy to have a better life for my friends and for every person that listens to my art.
What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?
I just want them to find something they can carry along as a good experience.
If you want here you can add a representative Youtube video to insert below the interview 🙂
there’s a set that I loved a lot, I’ll leave it around
