Formula Indie Sessions _ Interview Highroad No. 28

What is your earliest memory connected to music?
Watching either a Michael Jackson or George Michael video clip. I was drawn to it in a strange, but pleasent, way. I was around 6 or 7, maybe.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
I don’t know, it’s just an inherent part of me. There was no beginning and there will be no end.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
I assume you mean “The Will To Endure”. It was something I was planning to do a very long time ago, had tentative release dates years ago. Was too busy with other things in life. Due to geographical/personal/work-related issues it wouldn’t have been possible to complete the album by 2025 with the other members, and it had to be done by 2025. Decided it was best to just do all instruments myself, and introduce the new line up in 2026.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
Diverse, melodic, groove-based, cinematic at times.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
Nothing I have learned has completey changed the way I make music.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
I think it’s really important to have some sort of software to demo the ideas, but if software ceased to exist, I would find another way.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
I’m listening a lot to Chris De Burgh right now, but he isn’t indie!
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
Yes, very much so.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
“Endurance is to Divinity”
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Music itself hasn’t really taught me any lessons, although playing in bands has taught me many!
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
Wembly Arena!!
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
Therapy? Because they are an awesome band.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
Live shows!
What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?
I don’t want listeners to discover anything about me, I just want my music to touch them.
