What is your earliest memory connected to music?

My earliest memory associated with music was an old cassette radio that I had in my room at around 6-8 years old, where I had tapes of Special 38 and the Moody Blues, specifically the song Ride my See Saw. I would play the songs and sing and dance along by myself in my room!

How did your passion for creating music begin?

I grew up playing piano, then drums, and in high school bought a guitar. Ever since I have taught myself to play the guitar and found myself instinctively writing music as a way to get my thoughts and emotions out. It began at a young age, even writing songs at 7-8 years old.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

This current song I have released “See the Sun” was my first song I ever recorded professionally with my good college friend, but now I am looking to produce and learn that side of music as well. The project See the Sun is simply about being ready for happier times in life, saying that they are right around the corner.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

I would describe my music as introspective, creative, unique, upbeat, and acoustic. One that the listener will be able to relate to but also want to sing along.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

I think I have learned that the creative process is going to be different for every song and for everyone that makes music. You can start with an idea of a story or topic for lyrics, or a sound or instrument you want to use. There is an unlimited and boundless amount of creativity that can go into making music.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

I would say my acoustic guitar. I have had the same one since junior year of high school and I am now 24. It has not left my side and every song I have written has been with the same guitar.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

There are so many that I love listening to, but right now I am loving WLDLFE. If you have not heard them I would totally recommend a listen!

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

I think every songwriter writes from a place they have experienced. This can be either personally themselves or a story they have seen transpire from someone within their circle of friends or family. The reason music is so beautiful is that everyone has so many different life experiences, thoughts, opinions, and ideas, and it is a way that people are able to share and represent those.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

I would like listeners to find confidence, realize they are not alone, feel happiness or motivation, and simply enjoy what they are listening to.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

It will not happen overnight and the most important piece is that you love what you make. (This is coming from someone not successful in music but just loves creating)

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

I am a little bit nervous to perform, I have never done it before live to a crowd. However, playing anywhere in my hometown of West Chester or Philadelphia would be really cool.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

I think collaborating with Caye, Ruel, Surfaces, or WLDLFE would be really cool for me personally. I have always loved Caye music and how unique and creative it is, and have actually been lucky enough to meet and communicate with him a bit, so that would be a

really cool one for me. And for Ruel, I just think his sound is amazing and makes you feel so much and would love to see his creative process. Surfaces just always have an upbeat and summer feeling with unique sounds and production. WLDLFE is fun and easy to listen to and relate and also bumps up your energy.

Where can our listeners follow and support your music? (Website,Spotify, IG, links)

I only have one song out on Spotify called See the Sun by bucket list music. I plan to have more and more music out shortly! Hopefully an EP in the future. I also have a private instagram called bcktlstmsc.

Here is Spotify link:

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

Simply put, I want to release more music for myself and for the world. I think it is cool enough to be able to just have one song on a platform, and I would love to add to what I have now.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

I am quite literally an everyday person with a 9-5 that loves music and has it as an outlet to have fun.
