What is your earliest memory connected to music?
“When I was around 8 years old, my dad was a DJ ,and he and his brother would play music at the local radio station in Nigeria. Growing up in that environment, I was surrounded by all kinds of sounds and rhythms, so music really became a part of my life from an early age.”

How did your passion for creating music begin?
“My passion for music began in high school. I joined drama and dance groups, performing covers of my favorite songs, and kept a journal where I would capture rhythms and melodies that came to mind. Singing and practicing constantly really helped me develop my own musical sense and creativity.”

What’s the story behind your current music project?
“Making music has been a way to express both my pain and my happiness. For My current music project it was a grieving process for me when I lost my parents. I wrote Love Is an Illusion during a really dark time in my life. Working on this project became a form of therapy, helping me transform hurt and painful memories into something meaningful and special.”

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
“I’d describe my sound as versatile. I love genre fusion and enjoy exploring RnB, Neo-soul, hip hop, reggae, pop, and Afrobeat. What I really love is blending different styles to create my own unique sound. Being adaptable allows me to experiment and keep my music fresh”

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
“One thing that completely changed the way I make music is allowing myself to be vulnerable and raw with my emotions. Being honest in my lyrics has made my music more powerful and meaningful”

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
“I use a mix of tools in my creative process. I work with Cubase and Pro Tools for recording and mixing, and I use the Auxy app for beat-making. I also have a mini home studio where I record my music. I work with Mibu a German producer, we are always creating melodies and experimenting with ideas.”

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
“I’m really into Paid to Exist by BRUX XTN right now, the manifesting energy in that song is everything.”

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
“My personal experiences shape everything about my music and my artistic vision. The joy, the heartbreak, the losses, and even the healing all find their way into my sound. I create from a real place, my truth, my journey, my emotions. Every song becomes a reflection of what I’ve lived through, what I believe and what I’m manifesting for myself.”

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
“I hope listeners feel both honesty and healing in my music. I want them to connect with the emotions whether it’s pain, love or joy and feel inspired to reflect on their own experiences. Ultimately, I hope my songs heals them, leave them feeling seen, understood and uplifted.”

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
“Music has taught me to express myself and follow my dreams. It’s also shown me that rejection isn’t the end, it can push you to grow, improve and become better at what you do.”

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
“A dream venue for me would be somewhere that really celebrates artistry and connection, like Coachella or Glastonbury. Performing at a festival like that, where music brings so many people together, would be an incredible experience.”

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
“If I could collaborate with any artist, it would be Lauryn Hill. Her depth, her storytelling, and the soulful honesty in her music have inspired me for years. Creating with her would be a dream because she brings so much truth and emotion into every song.”
