New track for Alease: “Futuro io”
“Futuro io” is the new single by Alease, a rock singer-songwriter from Rome, whose real name is Alessandra Mele. The single is a preview of her highly anticipated upcoming work. “Futuro io” gives us that exhilarating feeling of freshness and novelty that makes us eager and, indeed, curious.
It follows her 2022 album titled “Tutto,” which features 10 tracks. But let’s talk about the song itself, a clearly rock-infused anthem of lost love, with lyrics and music written by Alessandra, who is increasingly comfortable in her role as a solo artist.
The guitar takes center stage, initially played softly with a delayed effect, featuring a slightly syncopated riff that mesmerizes the listener. Then, it opens up straight into the chorus, strangely in a major key (which later turns minor from the second chorus onward). Alessandra loves to play with the conventions of pop-rock composition and, following the example of the legendary “Three Days” by Jane’s Addiction, she always leaves the door open to major and minor chords, intriguing us until the end of the song and keeping our attention high. As a rock enthusiast myself, it’s a great pleasure.
The accompanying music video is set in a space-themed atmosphere, visually engaging and rhythmic.
This is a very promising start to a new journey that awaits our rocker. Let’s prepare for the ride.
