What is your earliest memory connected to music?
One of my earliest memories is hearing rock music blasting through the speakers at home. I was fascinated by the emotion, the guitars, and the energy. It didn’t take long before I knew music was more than entertainment—it was something I wanted to be part of for the rest of my life.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
I’ve always had a deep connection to music, but writing my own songs changed everything. I realized I could turn real experiences, emotions, and struggles into something people could relate to. That’s when creating music became a passion instead of just a hobby.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
My latest project represents a new chapter for VAXXO. It’s a collection of songs built around honesty, resilience, and personal growth. The new single, “Monsters,” dives into the invisible battles we all fight— fear, anxiety, self-doubt, and the pressure of everyday life. It’s about facing those demons instead of letting them define you. I wanted to create music that feels powerful, emotional, and real.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before? I’d describe it as modern rock with heart. Heavy guitars, powerful melodies, emotional lyrics, and big choruses that stay with you. It’s influenced by classic rock but produced with a modern edge.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music? I stopped trying to write songs that I thought people wanted to hear and started writing songs that meant something to me. Authenticity creates the strongest connection with listeners.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
Everything usually starts with my guitar. From there I use Logic Pro to build ideas and record demos. But the most important tool isn’t software—it’s being open to inspiration whenever it shows up.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
I’m always discovering incredible independent artists. I really enjoy supporting musicians who stay true to their vision because that’s what independent music is all about—freedom, authenticity, and passion.
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision? Every song I write is influenced by something I’ve lived through or witnessed. The highs, the lows, the victories, and the setbacks all become part of the music. I believe the most powerful songs come from telling the truth.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
I want people to know they’re not alone. Whether someone is dealing with fear, loss, anxiety, or simply trying to find their place in the world, I hope my music reminds them to keep fighting and never lose hope.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Music has taught me patience and resilience. There will always be obstacles, rejection, and moments of doubt, but if you keep believing in yourself and continue creating, every step becomes part of your journey.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
Rock in Rio has always been a dream because of my Portuguese roots and the incredible history of the festival. I’d also love to perform at Wembley Stadium and Download Festival in front of thousands of passionate rock fans.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why? Bruce Springsteen would be at the top of my list. He’s one of the greatest storytellers in rock music, and his ability to connect with people through honest songwriting has inspired me throughout my career.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey? My goal is to continue creating music that connects with people around the world, grow the VAXXO community, and bring these songs to bigger stages through touring and festivals. I want every release to push me creatively while staying true to who I am. If my music can inspire someone to keep going through a difficult time, then I’m exactly where I want to be as an artist.
