What is your earliest memory connected to music?

With my parents when we used to go on holidays in our old car. My Dad has this collection of CD’s with Marvin Gaye , Santana and Seu Jorge 

How did your passion for creating music begin?

It’s actually a funny story. I was a big fan of Nirvana and I just wanted to be Kurt Cobain. So i went to this music store cause i wanted top same guitar as him. A Fender Stratocaster in a picture and when I was about to play , the guy at the store told me : “It’s good to see a new Bass Player”. I didn’t know the difference between the look of a bass and a guitar

Then i went to the guitar store across the street and that’s how i started to created music 

What’s the story behind your current music project?

After my band with Gesaffelstein and Yann Wagner “Flying Turns” I started my one project KOBAIEN and my Label GIGANTE RECORDS to explore new sounds.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

It’s all about the groove ! I can make House or Indie Dance , my main focus is to have a groovy track.

It has to make people dance

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

When I studied the biggest artists such as Prince , Chic or  MJ. I wanted to understand how they created their groove. The importance of the silences between the notes

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

Ableton Live and a good microphone. But i also use hardware , Prophet 5 , Pro One , Juno 106 

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

I really like the work of Brunello

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

My music is always inspired by new artists as much as my first loves in music. 

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

For me the best emotion of Dance Music is when you wanna dance and cry in the same time

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Than there’s always something to explore

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

Coachella for sure !

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

Definitely with Freddy Mercury from the past and actually with my friend Gesa

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

I’m actually working on an album with a singer who did a HUGGGE HIT in the 2000’s and that i really admire for long time

My love of exploring new sounds , new ways of making people feel happy.
