Formula Indie Sessions _ Interview with Brunio Who

Brunio Who is an independent music and audiovisual project built in seasons. Each year a new musical universe unfolds through songs, characters, and visuals, and the cycle closes with a short film. Music and image are treated as a single narrative experience rather than separate releases.
What is your earliest memory connected to music?
Standing in front of a mirror as a kid, pretending to be different artists in the same night. Singing, moving, changing characters. That feeling of becoming someone else through music stayed with me.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
I wanted to create something that felt alive. Music gave me a way to shape emotion, time, and space at once.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
The project is about identity, chaos, and transformation. Each season explores a different mental and emotional universe. Season 1 introduced the characters and their traits, while Season 2 pushes everything into a more unstable and intense territory.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
It’s a mix of everything. Anything can happen. Genres collide, styles shift, and nothing is off limits. The best way to understand it is to listen and view it.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
That context matters as much as the song. A track becomes stronger when it belongs to a larger story instead of existing on its own.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
Guitar, synths, a DAW, and my mic. I don’t name brands. They don’t name me either
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
I’ve been listening a lot to singarim lately. If you know him, tell him to come sing with me. I’d love to collaborate.
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
Every personal experience I’ve lived has shaped one of my multiple personalities. Each song carries fragments of real moments, emotions, and conflicts, filtered through different characters and perspectives. Nothing is invented from scratch. It all comes from lived experience, just transformed
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
I hope my music gives people the courage to explore something different, even if it feels unfamiliar or uncomfortable at first.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Music unfolds over time, just like people do.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
More than a specific venue or festival, my dream is to have an audience ready to fully step into the universes I’m building each year. I imagine a closing show where the season, the characters, and the songs come together in one live experience. For now, it’s an ambitious idea, but that’s the direction I’m moving toward
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
Choosing just one feels impossible. I’d rather pick one for each personality. WHO would sing with Roberto Goyeneche, NIGHT with Jim Morrison, BEAT would dance with Michael Jackson, KING would collaborate with David Bowie, and NULL would merge minds with Daft Punk. The rest… we’ll see when they show up

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
To keep expanding the universe, deepen the narrative, and eventually bring each season to life on stage as a full performance experience. So get ready… season 2 broadcast soon…
What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?
That identity is fluid. I am what I am today, and tomorrow I can be something else, or nothing at all.
