Hi, my name is 3N!. 3N! is pronounced Eh-Nee and it’s from my name, Eniola. And I am a producer, engineer and songwriter based in Lagos, Nigeria.

What is your earliest memory connected to music?

Reply: I remember getting to watch MTV Base on SilverBird TV on free-to-air TV, we didn’t have cable and it was like the craziest thing. I loved the videos, the music, the VDJs, everything.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

Reply: Well, from young, I also loved to rap. At first, I thought I will actually be a rapper, people who inspired me where Phenom, Vector, and Uzi. I probably have a video of me rapping the lyrics to “Omo Naija” by Phenom somewhere on Facebook lmao.

Then high school came and I discovered Dance/EDM. Alan Walker, Marshmello, K-391, Tiesto, Skrillex, Steve Aoki…. Just to name a few. “Alone” (both by Alan Walker and Marshmello) and the “Joytime” trilogy made me love the intricacies of instrumentals. All of a sudden, I wanted to make beats. So I did.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

Reply: “musketeer music. (deluxe.)” was something I always wanted to work on, since before we even put out “musketeer music.”, I was, at the time, super skeptical because I didn’t want to make a body of work no one will listen to and we only had 2 songs done at the time. Mxna and I were also just trying to get to know each other sonically, and I was still on the ropes with production. So yeah, moving forward, we made more and finished the production of the tape in 2024. And we decided to put it out in 2025, when we had all become wiser and more exposed.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

Reply: Fun. Unpredictable. Weird. Very energetic. Soothing. That’s my entire catalogue really.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Reply: Not to always force inspiration really. The funny part of this advice is that by forcing out inspiration, “agbadofever.” and “yoriyori flow.” were born, but that’s a result of the “cooking” cooking up well. If you’re broken creatively, just find a song that you love so much and make yours on that ground. You’ll feel juices coming all out.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

Reply: BandLab is such a staple in my music production these days. The production suite (DAW and the other tools) are so essential in me making music. I use the “Tuner” feature a lot. To find the key when freestyling.

VSTs? Plugins? Well, I’ll strongly recommend anyone to work with what they have really. Don’t let your limitations limit you.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

Reply: Mannnnnnnnn, I could go on all day shouting out people.

I’m loving Rihannarita (Kenya), Tedjou (Nigeria), sumahh (Kenya), ilayecore (Nigeria), tugi ndichu (Kenya), mwaajii (Kenya), Mxna (Nigeria), Chasing Superheroes (India), rghvarchive (Canada), AmiraTheWeirdo (US), Juneofive (Nigeria),  glaive (US),  twikipedia (Brazil), Codawho (Nigeria), Jean Arthur (Nigeria), hkmori (Russia*), BuTaSkOcH (Nigeria), New World Ray (Nigeria), Chemutai Sage (Kenya),.

Just to name a few I can list off the dome right now.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Reply: Yes! Sometimes, I make music off of emotions, or what I see, smell or hear. I actually thought it was some BS that people say to like sound “cool” but sometimes, I too, have those experiences which I “pen down” into my DAW. It’s surreal.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

Reply: I hope people feel good. Yeah, feel good.

I make music to make people either bop their heads, sing along, dance or all of the above. That’s why. Cause it’s fun.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Reply: All I have to say is “Don’t let your limitations limit you”. I started this on my phone…. On BandLab. My biggest song to date: “places.” was made on BandLab. I still go back to that DAW for inspiration. My limitation to just BandLab didn’t limit my creativity, it built it.

Make with what you have. You don’t need fancy VSTs, microphones, interfaces, DAWs to make the greatest song ever. You need your brain and its understanding of music.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

Reply: Mannnnnnnnnnnnnn, you know, lowkey… I don’t have one!

I would perform anywhere in the world if that means I have fans singing every single bit of my songs, mixes, mashups et cetera.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

Reply: I will mention five artists: Juice WRLD, $uicideboy$, Alan Walker, Harry Mack and Lindsey Stirling.

Reply: Well, I plan to expand my horizons, working with some amazing people down in Kenya. Possibly thinking of doing amazing things next year, God is My Strength and all what I put in His Hands will come to pass, In Shaa Allah.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

Reply: That I am someone who cannot be limited to one genre… Expect a lot of music and an influx of many many cultures, influences and experiences coming out of a single vessel and I hope you’re here for this amazing ride and yeah, GOAT things coming out and it’s only the top from here.
