Introduction of the project

This project is centered around a Christmas-time song that brings warmth, joy, and togetherness. It blends Afrobeats rhythms with a festive spirit, reflecting both my African roots and the Scandinavian Christmas atmosphere I grew up with in Sweden. Its about celebrating love, unity, and positive energy during a special time of the year.

What is your earliest memory connected to music?

My earliest memories of music come from growing up surrounded by different sounds — African music from Sierra Leone and international music in Sweden. Music was always present during family gatherings and celebrations, especially during holidays.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

I started experimenting with music in the mid-2000s, first with hip-hop and later discovering Afrobeats and Afropop. Over time, music became my way of expressing emotions, culture, and experiences — especially moments that bring people together.

Whats the story behind your current music project?

I started experimenting with music in the mid-2000s, first with hip-hop and later discovering Afrobeats and Afropop. Over time, music became my way of expressing emotions, culture, and experiences — especially moments that bring people together.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

My sound is Afrobeats with a global touch — melodic, uplifting, and full of positive energy. For this project, I added a warm, festive feeling while keeping the rhythm and vibe people know me for.

What is one thing youve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

I learned that authenticity matters more than perfection. Once I stopped trying to sound like everyone else and focused on my own truth, my music became more powerful. I also learned that embracing my background and uniqueness is my biggest strength. Once I leaned fully into my identity, my sound became more confident and authentic.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

A strong beat, a creative studio environment, and reliable recording software are essential. I focus a lot on melody, vibe, and delivery to make sure every song feels right.

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

Im inspired by independent Afrobeats and Afro-fusion artists who are representing their cultures globally while staying original. Right now am into LXG from Sierra Leone, Oman Lay from Nigeria, also listning to Dare Sweet from Sweden.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

My experiences growing up between Sweden and Sierra Leone influence my sound, lyrics, and perspective. They allow me to create music that speaks to both worlds. Also my life experiences shape everything I create. The highs, the lows, the lessons — they all show up in my lyrics, melodies, and the emotions behind my songs.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

I want listeners to feel confidence, freedom, and connection. Whether its joy, love, or motivation, I want my music to remind people that theyre not alone.

Whats the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Consistency and self-belief. Staying focused and trusting your vision is key, even when the journey gets challenging.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

Performing at AfroNation, Wireless Festival, Coachella or major European and African stages would be a dream. Ive done the ”Melodifestivalen” and would love to do it again with the aim of representing Sweden in Eurovision Music song contest.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

I’d love to collaborate with Davido, Tems, Wizkid, Ayra Starr Burna Boy because of their authenticity, global impact, and how they blends African culture with international sounds.
