What is your earliest memory connected to music?

My earliest memory connected to music is GUITER singing along to nursery rhymes with my family as a kid  Can’t pinpoint an exact moment  but the sounds of laughter and music are basically wired in me. 

How did your passion for creating music begin?

My passion for music stated at church when i was very young when i growing up i use to help the church by playing various intruments and thats when i found my passion becouse i realised that i loved what i was doing wit all my heart i would even travel long distance to be where there was music 

What’s the story behind your current music project? The story behind current music is a fusion of Afro house, deep house, and 3step rhythms, blending soulful vocals with heartfelt lyrics.my  experiment with local and international producers, pushing boundaries and creating a unique sound.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?

 I’d describe my sound as a blend of soulful R&B, pop, and African rhythms, with a touch of deep house and 3-step influences. Imagine smooth, emotive vocals and heartfelt lyrics that tell stories of life, love, and everything in between. My music is authentic, raw, and speaks to the heart, with a unique African flavour that sets it apart.

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

One thing I’ve learned that’s changed my music making approach is the importance of vulnerability and authenticity. Being true to my emotions and experiences has helped me create more relatable and impactful songs. It’s not just about the technical skills, but about sharing my story and connecting with others through music.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

Reply Guitar is My go to instrument for writing and composing

 Piano Adds depth and texture to my soundscapes

FL Studio  My DAW of choice for production and arrangement

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

My personal experiences have shaped my music in a big way. Growing up in Venda, Limpopo, and being part of a musical family, I’ve been exposed to a rich cultural heritage that influences my sound. My experiences as a worship leader in church have also instilled in me a sense of passion and emotion that I try to convey through my music.

What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?

I hope my music evokes emotions like joy, hope, and comfort. I want listeners to feel seen, heard, and understood through my songs. My messages are often about love, perseverance, and self-discovery, so I hope they resonate with people navigating life’s ups and downs. Ultimately, I want my music to inspire and uplift, leaving listeners feeling motivated and empowered.

 What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Music has taught me that connection is everything. It’s shown me that emotions are universal  whether you’re in Venda or LA people connect over shared feelings. Music breaks barriers, sparks conversations, and heals hearts. That’s the power it holds, and it’s why I create.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

 Man, I’d LOVE to perform at Stellenbosch Jazz Festival one day The vibe, the crowd, the setting  it’s like the perfect combo of music and magic. Or maybe even headlining at a festival like Mawazine in Morocco  the energy of African music coming together globally would be epic But honestly any stage where I can share my music and connect with people is the dream.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

OLIVA MUTUKUZI becouse his touch are more likely the same everytime when i play my music people alway say i remind of oviva mutukuzi i so wish i could work with him but unfortunatly he is no longer may his soul rest in peace

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?

My dream is to take my music global sharing South African sounds with the world. I would love to perform at festivals and venues across continent, connecting with diverse audiences. Collaborations with international artists, pushing creative boundaries, and inspiring others through my music are all part of the vision.  I hope to leave a lasting impact on the music industry and be remembered as an artist who stayed true to myself.

What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?

 I hope listeners discover my authenticity and passion for music. I would love them to see the real me, my culture, and the stories behind my songs. I’m all about sharing my truth, and if they can relate to that, then I’m doing something right. My music is a reflection of who I am, and I’m excited for people to connect with it on that level.
