She best describes her musical style as “Dark cinematic pop with African undertones”. Alexiane was born in Montmagny Quebec to a Senegalese father and a Canadian mother. Shuttling between Montreal and Senegal, the young Alexiane soaked up the African, French, and North American sounds of her childhood and quickly turned demons to muses. Various influences, from Youssou N’dour and Celine Dion, from Dido to Sade and Lhasa de Sela to Lana del Rey. All of which helped shape her sound.

Alexiane released her debut album “Into the Sun” on October 15, 2021. “You Say You Love Me”, the first single off of her brand new album was placed on streaming playlists all around the world and is gaining traction at radio in Canada. “Sais-tu qui je suis“, the French adaptation of “You Say You Love Me“ (co-written by Alexiane, Carla Bruni and Yves Laramée) has been also released to radio in Quebec and the song has reached the No. 46 on the Billboard National AC, No. 19 on the TOP 100 BDS, No. 16 on the TOP 100 corresponding radios at this date.
