Shuttling between Montreal and Senegal, the young Alexiane soaked up the African, French, and North American sounds of her childhood and quickly turned demons to muses. Various influences, from Youssou N’dour and Celine Dion, from Dido to Sade and Lhasa de Sela to Lana del Rey. All of which helped shape her sound.
