ABOUT JEREMY ENGEL

Outside of music Jeremy’s passion lies within languages, speaking French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian, he works as a conference interpreter for the United Nations. Having worked for the UN for over ten years, the job has allowed Jeremy to meet great people like the Pope, Barack Obama or Kofi Annan.

Jeremy’s move to Ireland was inspired by him watching the film “Irish Tour 74”. The Rory Gallagher film-documentary made him fall in love with his music and with Ireland. He moved to Dublin in 2006 and managed to get a job at the Guinness Storehouse and ended up working as a tour guide for a few years. With a huge appreciation for Ireland’s music, it would be Jeremy’s dream to open for one of his favourite artists, Glen Hansard.

In early 2020, Jeremy emerged with his debut single ‘I Don’t Want To Stay.’ Accompanied by a multi-award winning music video, the song’s raw emotion served as the perfect introduction to a talented new artist. Jeremy has since built up a catalog of meaningful songs which he is excited to continue sharing with his ever-growing audience.
