‘Nobody’s Wolf Child’ Releases Their Debut Single ‘The Fall’ Discover that the 14th February in Formula Indie
Nobody’s Wolf Child releases the debut single ‘The Fall’ on 7th January 2021 along with the official video. This
independent artist will release the first in a series of digital art pieces creating an immersive world for listeners
to discover, daring them to “Join The Pack”. ‘The Fall’ will be released digitally across all online platforms via
her own label Nobody’s Records.
The Fall is a blend of cinematic drama and intimate etherealism. However, underneath the sometimes grand
and majestic sounds, there is an anger and disappointment woven into the fabric of this record. It has teeth
and claws. Whilst some parts soar, sections of the song bring you in close, perhaps uncomfortably close and
then leave you far behind. It’s evocative of the nature of the Wolf Child. She’ll let you in, but only on her terms,
and only for a while. With a blend of film score, alternative pop and tribal world music, this record doesn’t fit
squarely anywhere and yet feels cohesive and whole.
Each song is created to be within an alternative place of its own. Song production choices were made to
represent these audio spaces and the mood of the creatures within. The more you listen the more you will
hear the sounds beyond the song, the world that is being created and uncover the lore behind it.
As a full 360 project, each song also has its own specific visual counterpart. The visuals are a fundamental part
of the storytelling, coming from the very bones of the song. The overarching storyline is about the relationship
between the Wolf Child and the outside world. Whilst she discovers her strength, supported and healed by the
natural world, she also becomes more alienated from human society. The Fall’s visualiser shows us the Wolf
Child descending. Where from is unclear. A different World or something less tangible? Where she falls from,
and where she is falling to is left unclear.
‘The Fall’ represents the start of Nobody’s Wolf Child’s journey. With 12 records already completed and ready
to trickle out into the world over the next year, this project will culminate in what is planned to be an
immersive stage show, bringing this world to life.
