Content released by ‘Quizboy’ continues to be a trend of aftermath of struggles from the previous year. Penned in 2019, “Rest in Pain” was released March of 2020 right when the world seemingly got flipped upside down due to COVID. As a result, there was a manic and sporadic release entitled “Quarantine Barbie.” But the lingering darkness and somberness that came about while all that was happening is what you are hearing in “Bella.” It is named “Bella” after my dog that died while in quarantine. It affected me much more than I realized at the time, I think. It really set a tone for all the personal struggles I’ve had, as well as the aftermath of everything that has unfolded and the world we are still living in today.
