DUB ZOO took us on a journey into the abyss with their last three singles – Confusion, World on Fire and Strange Times, a musical triptych exploring the darkness of the last year(s). Now they re-emerge with a seductive party anthem Feel Me, a track that epitomises the band’s live sound.

Feel Me is classic DUB ZOO, a heavy disco beat that drives hard underneath multi layered dub-style production. Inspired by divas like Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor, lead vocalist Lizzie O’Keefe leans into the aesthetic, putting her own spin on an anthemic style lead vocal that’s straight out of a 70’s dance club. The heavy foundation of the song throws back to DUB ZOO’s roots as a dance band first and foremost. The rhythm section will immediately transport you to a sweaty heaving dancefloor allowing the melodic elements to float above. Multi-instrumentalist Lee Hardisty delivers a catchy flute hook before picking up the saxophone for an edgy improvised solo. The song also features some percussion and vocoder completing the immersive disco dub vibes.

Self-produced by the band at home on the Sunny Coast, mixed by Paulie B at Yama-Nui Studio and mastered at Lion & Fox Studio in the US, Feel Me is a sexy addition to the new material coming from the DUB ZOO collective and a sign of things to come as the band turns up the heat on their release schedule before the new album drop next year.
