Multi instrumentalist Mark Remmington returns following his very well received and applauded debut solo release “12 Weeks” In his second album, his 2022 project, Mark shifts up a gear from singer-songwriter mode to full electronic prog-pop virtual band under the working title “SOFANAUTS” Discover ‘Space Person Blues’ the December 29th
Mark’s debut saw him performing all the instruments in addition to writing, producing the full package. This new Sci-Fi themed electronic, fun, rocking, funky, atmospheric album will feature guest performances of friends from throughout his former career as session guitarist and other bands, musical projects from over the years.
First single release “Space Person Blues” drops 27 Dec 2021 with accompanying music video riffing on classic 60’s sci fi as well as performance footage.
Mark would call this release more of a mission statement than a single. Its a 6 minute slice of progressive pop.
This song points to whats to come, its a level up and it promises to entertain.
Mark is joined on drums for this track by long term friend and musician Tor Bjarne Bjelland currently of the rock band “Electric High”.
Tor is a career musician having credits for performances ranging from Metal acts such as “Sahg” and global songwriters such as Elvis Costello. As at home with Jazz as he is driving a rock song, Tors percussion adds a depth and power to this track not heard on the previous album.
Mark is proud to say the least to have Tor on board and the first “Sofanaut” to join him off the starting block.
Look out for “Space Person Blues” and its accompanying video on all major streaming and download platforms from the 27th Dec.
