Pushed back by lockdowns, the song was written and recorded in Australia, then sent over to London for mastering at Abbey Road – a decision made because of, you guessed it, more lockdowns! An eager musician’s idea of online shopping is paying for somebody overseas to lay the finishing touch on your masterpiece, it seems.
It’s the biggest track I’ve ever released, with a universal message and a big sound – big vocals, smooth synths, and rhythmic electric guitar, as an ode to my love of classic rock.
The message I hope to share with this song is one of empowerment, of self trust, and that need for urgency – we all have control over our own lives. I hope this song can help people to realise it.
