Highlighting the reflections associated with searching for a place of belonging, Melbourne-based producer/artist ‘Nightingale’ gives listeners a vehicle for expression through his next release ‘Home’; an energetic yet enlightening Electronic/Progressive House flavoured track that fans of Rufus Du Sol and Lastlings will resonate with the December 20th in Formula Indie

‘Home’ demonstrates a reflective and resounding side of Nightingale, where his narrative-driven lyricism and entrancing melodies highlight some of the experiences associated with the fundamental search and yearning for a home;

This song was inspired by my reflections on where the world is at the moment and what some people may be going through, particularly with the feeling of being lost. I wanted the lyrics to capture the feeling of the universal need for a ‘home’ and the concept of searching for this home, whether it be a physical place or something intangible, like a feeling.
– Nightingale

The track pulsates through a steady house beat that is lead by an enticing guitar riff, threading the rich layers of syncopated synths, sparkling arpeggiated keys, lush synth bass, and consuming sub-bass. Nightingale places the listener at the forefront of the experience of searching through expressively vulnerable lyrics that resounds in the open spaces of the production; akin to what we may experience in the uncertainties of searching and longing for a home.

‘Home’ continues Nightingale’s streak of consistent releases throughout the year, with the most recent single ‘Mirrors’ gaining positive reception, being described as ‘impressionistic’ and ‘cinematic’ by Triple J presenter Steph Hughes. Earlier release ‘Rewind’ received international press coverage including Hype Machine listed blog ‘At Cost Magazine’, and ‘’Phantom’ achieved airplay on Triple J program ‘Something More’, as well as gaining editorial playlisting on Apple Music’s ‘New in Dance’.

‘Home’ is available across all streaming platforms on Friday 22nd October.
