Five-star artists Scott Bathgate and Nadya Albertsson from Edinburgh are proud to present their newest single; a new Neo Soul and RnB version of “Watermelon Sugar” ready to debut in Formula Indie the November 27th
After releasing two of their own original single that saw coverage from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio and wide blog coverage, the pair made this version of Watermelon Sugar for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge competition. They loved the cover so much they have decided to release it on all digital platforms on the 22nd of October 2021. Nadya and Scott met during their time studying music at The University of Aberdeen where they bonded over their mutual love for artists such as Erykah Badu, Duckworth, Laura Mvula and Jill Scott. They released their first single together at the start of the year “Heavy Soul” which saw it be named track of the week on BBC Radio Scotland.
