What is your earliest memory connected to music?
Adria: My earliest memory connected to music is watching an orchestra concert on TV with my mom, when she asked me what instrument I wanted to play.
Manuel: My parents listening to Juan Gabriel, Antonio Aguilar, Rocio Durcal etc. Eventually in Elementary I started playing the Viola.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
Adria: Watching bands play live is where my passion for creating music was born It made me realize I could write my own music.
Manuel: I was like 13 and I saw Soda Stereo’s Unplugged on tv, I wanted to do what I just saw on Tv.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
We’re
Estereomance, our current music project, Started almost 7 years as a trio, and this year it’s evolving into a Duo. We have 3 albums released and tours with Beach House, Bandalos Chinos, Gum, Enjambre, Hello Seahorse etc.. We’re at an experiential phase of a project that is trying to evolve.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
Our new vision for Estereomance is a bit of trip hop with some dreamy boleros.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
There are many people and lessons along the way that influence how we make music. Some can make it more fun, and some can make it more productive.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process? We use Pro Tools to record. Sometimes we experiment with tape machines. There are
many instruments like bass guitar, drum machine, polychord, mellotron, etc. Also we started experimenting with DJ equipment like the Rane One, Roland SP404, Roland DJ505. Splice etc.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
Brainstory, Men I Trust, Triathlon, Doom Well
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision? Of course, our music is the way we process and express our feelings .
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work? Our music can be subjective and open to interpretation, for example our music can be perceived as sad, but it can also be romantic.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
To always be true to yourself.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
There are many, but some festivals that come to mind, Coachella, Glastonbury, Desert Daze, Tropicalia, Primavera Sound. And some venues would be Hollywood Bowl, Meo Wolf, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why? We would have loved to collaborate with Gustavo Cerati, or Broadcast.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
To tour in new places we haven’t been to, like Europe, Asia and South America.
