What is your earliest memory connected to music?

Reply

Noah: First memory would be from hearing the choir in the Catholic Church.  Trying to distinguish between the higher voices and lower voices in the choir. I would try to find their pitch and match it.

How did your passion for creating music begin?

Reply

Noah:  I began playing guitar at age 14.  I learned how to play from guitar tabs online and YouTube videos.  I began writing my own songs in my 20’s.

What’s the story behind your current music project?

Reply

Noah: Half Hiro began in 2024.  It started with us jamming an old song I had written and quickly turned into a full band project!  We completed “Life Ache” in August of 2024 and then jumped right back into the studio to record “The War”.  “The War” was written in tribute to all the victims of war suffering throughout the world in our modern times.

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music

before?

Reply

Noah: 90’s rock is the easiest label to slap on it, so why not?

What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Reply

Noah: When I was 15 years old I bought a Digtech RP80 pedal.  To this day it is the only pedal I have ever used.

What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?

Reply

Noah: The Digitech RP80

Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?

Reply

Noah: King Hannah.  I haven’t found a cooler band since Fontaines D.C..

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?

Reply

Noah:  I don’t write in a journal or a diary, to me music has always been the place for that release of emotions.

What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?

Reply

Noah:  To be patient and not criticize yourself too much.   Even though I will forever critique myself haha.

What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?

Reply

Noah: Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands would be a dream come true.  All the greats of the 90’s played there back in the day.

If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?

Reply

Noah:  Emel Mathlouthi from Tunisia has one of the greatest voices in the universe.  Her vocal range and power are unmatched.  A vocal duet alongside her lyrical contributions would be so welcomed!
