Probally my grandparents. Both of my grandpas played guitar. Borsboom was in an old fiddle group and he would play guitar and banjo and sing. Minkus just played for fun at the bed and breakfast that they ran.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
I realized that there was nothing else i really loved as much as i loved music so it was somehting worth persuing or sticking with. I started songwriting after watching canadian idol one year.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
I wouldnt say that any of my projects really have a theme other that being a snapshot of that time in my life. People, places and expereinces that i went through in the years prior to the albums release.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
A mixture between folk, singer-songwriter and alt-country. The soft storytelling of folk music mixed with the line dancing off a country americana tune. I am striving to acheive both on my coming album.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
Cowrites. They are the most magical beautiful expereinces. Bringing two mind. Two lifetimes of expereinces and taking parts of them both and expressing them through song.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
Im pretty simple with pen paper and guitar however ive recently evolved to the laptop and it has helped honestly ahah.

How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
I think that everything ive been through is exactly shaped my songwriting. Stories of divorce, trying to be a good person, struggling effortlessly through everyday, wandering to find the solution or even an appropriate path. Trying to find common ground with the listener, having them relate to your feelings realizing we are all going through very similiar harships and journeys is the goal. Relatablity and realizing your arent in it alone.

That im just like you. And the ony message or take away that i hope is the final take away from my music, is that through it all the main goal was simply to be a GOOD PERSON.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
