Introduction of the project
What is your earliest memory connected to music?
EN – My earliest memory connected to music isn’t really a memory of mine, but a story my mother loves to tell. She says that when I was very little, I used to sing all the time while lying in a hammock, we lived in a little town in Colombia when I born. The name of the song is a Spanish song: “El culpable soy yo” a Colombian traditional vallenato-song. My grandfather would smile and say, “Who knows, maybe one day he’ll become a singer.” Looking back, it feels like music was already there, gently rocking me from the very beginning.
IT – Il mio primo ricordo legato alla musica in realtà è un racconto che mia madre ama ripetere. Dice che quando ero piccolissimo cantavo sempre, sdraiato in un’amaca. Mia mamma si ricorda il nome della canzone, una canzone tradizionale del genere vallenato (musica tradizionale colombiana), “El culpable soy yo”. Mio nonno sorrideva e diceva: “Chissà se da grande diventerà un cantante.” Ripensandoci oggi, sembra che la musica fosse già lì, a cullarmi fin dall’inizio.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
EN – My passion for creating music began very naturally. I discovered early on those melodies came easily to me, probably because music was always present in my life. A melody would appear, stay in my head, and I instinctively knew it was original.
Almost by chance, I was drawn to Italian music. Opera arias and the power of tenor voices fascinated me. When my father brought home a CD by Josh Groban and I heard him sing in Italian, it was a turning point. Soon after, I discovered Il Divo, who became my favorite group. That was when I understood the kind of music I wanted to create.
From there, words naturally followed the melodies, turning into stories I needed to tell — or sometimes simply imagined.
IT – La mia passione per la creazione musicale è nata in modo molto naturale. Ho capito presto che le melodie mi venivano con facilità, probabilmente perché la musica è sempre stata presente nella mia vita. Una melodia arrivava, mi rimaneva in testa e sapevo istintivamente che era originale.
Quasi per caso mi sono avvicinato alla musica italiana: le arie d’opera e la potenza delle voci tenorili mi hanno affascinato. Quando mio padre portò a casa un CD di Josh Groban e lo sentii cantare in italiano, fu un momento decisivo. Poco dopo ho scoperto Il Divo, che è diventato il mio gruppo preferito. Lì ho capito che tipo di musica volevo creare.
Da quel momento, le parole hanno iniziato a seguire naturalmente le melodie, trasformandosi in storie da raccontare — o da inventare.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
EN – The story behind my current music project started quite naturally. Over time, I realized I had written many melodies and lyrics that were, in fact, complete songs — even though I never thought about recording them. I was always singing, everywhere, and my friends kept encouraging me to take it seriously, even when I didn’t feel ready or confident enough.
After a lot of insistence, I finally decided to try. Through a friend, I met Faber Arena, with whom I recorded my very first song. Later on, thanks to my dear friend Giulia, I was introduced to Eros Bianchi, a singer and producer in Pisa, Tuscany ( Current winner of Sanremo New talent Song contest, Rimini 2025), and that collaboration became the foundation of my current project and my first Album: –Alexitimia– including songs like: – Il primo sbaglio importante? , Luce marina, Per noi innamorati-working with him felt natural — he immediately understood what I wanted to express and what I was feeling in each song. That shared understanding is what continues to shape my music today.
IT – La storia dietro al mio progetto musicale attuale è nata in modo molto naturale. Con il tempo mi sono reso conto di aver scritto tantissime melodie e testi che, di fatto, erano già canzoni, anche se non avevo mai pensato di registrarle. Cantavo sempre, ovunque, e gli amici continuavano a spronarmi a provarci, anche quando io non mi sentivo pronto o all’altezza.
Dopo molta insistenza, mi sono deciso. Tramite un’amica ho conosciuto Faber Arena, con cui ho realizzato il mio primo brano – Una segunda vez- . Successivamente, grazie alla mia cara amica Giulia, ho incontrato Eros Bianchi, un talentuoso cantante e produttore di Pisa, Toscana (Attuale Vincitore di Sanremo new talent Song contest, Rimini 2025) con cui continuo a lavorare e produrre musica e il mio primo Album: – Alexitimia– che include brani come – Il primo sbaglio importante?, Luce Marina, Per noi innamorati -. Con lui è stato subito facile: capiva esattamente ciò che volevo esprimere e quello che provavo in ogni brano. È da questa sintonia che nasce e cresce il mio progetto oggi.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
EN – I would describe my sound as a journey through the elegance of Italian pop, shaped by strong harmonies and confident rhythms. There’s also a subtle sense of melancholy, like a Caribbean sunset, blended with melody-driven storytelling. For me, it’s always the melody that rhymes with the words — the music and the lyrics are inseparable.
IT – Descriverei il mio suono come un viaggio tra le note dell’eleganza del pop italiano, costruito su armonie solide e ritmi decisi. C’è anche un tocco di malinconia, come un tramonto caraibico, che si intreccia a una scrittura narrativa guidata dalla melodia. Per me, infatti, è la melodia che rima con le parole: musica e testo sono inseparabili.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
EN – One thing that completely changed the way I make music was learning to trust simplicity and honesty. I realized that I don’t need to overthink or overproduce a song — if a melody and an emotion are real, they already say everything. Since then, I focus on letting the feeling guide the music, rather than trying to impress.
IT – Una cosa che ha cambiato completamente il mio modo di fare musica è stata imparare a fidarmi della semplicità e dell’onestà. Ho capito che non serve complicare o sovraprodurre un brano: se una melodia e un’emozione sono vere, dicono già tutto. Da allora cerco di lasciare che sia il sentimento a guidare la musica, senza il bisogno di impressionare.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
EN – More than any tool or software, what’s essential to my creative process is the strength of the message a song needs to leave behind. I choose every word very carefully.
Among instruments, the piano often guides me — it helps shape the emotion and direction of a song. I always imagine each track like a puzzle, where every instrument has its exact place, working together to create a visual image in the listener’s mind through the story being told.
IT – Più di qualsiasi strumento o software, ciò che è davvero essenziale nel mio processo creativo è la forza del messaggio che un brano deve lasciare. Scelgo ogni parola con grande cura.
Tra gli strumenti, il pianoforte è spesso la mia guida: mi aiuta a definire l’emozione e la direzione del brano. Immagino sempre ogni canzone come un puzzle, in cui ogni strumento trova la sua posizione esatta per costruire, attraverso il racconto, un’immagine visiva nella mente di chi ascolta.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
EN – Right now, I’m really enjoying artists like Coez and Fra Quintale — I love how they blend emotion with catchy melodies. I also admire Irama and Marco Mengoni for his sound, even though he’s not strictly indie. Internationally, I’ve been listening a lot to the Arctic Monkeys; their way of combining storytelling with rhythm is incredibly inspiring.
IT – In questo periodo sto ascoltando molto Coez e Fra Quintale: adoro come uniscono emozione e melodie accattivanti. Mi piace anche il suono di Irama e Marco Mengoni, anche se non è propriamente indie. A livello internazionale, ascolto molto gli Arctic Monkeys: il modo in cui raccontano storie con il ritmo è davvero fonte d’ispirazione.
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
EN – In the beginning, I would mostly invent stories because melodies carried me into imagining them. I would think, “What would it feel like if…?” and play with those possibilities. Over time, life itself became a direct source of inspiration. For example, 2024 has been an intense year, full of strong emotions and personal losses, and that experience has deeply influenced this album. I try to turn both imagination and real-life emotions into songs that reflect my journey and connect with listeners.
IT – All’inizio mi inventavo soprattutto delle storie, perché la melodia mi trasportava in quei racconti. Pensavo: “Cosa si potrebbe provare se…?” e giocavo molto su questo. Col tempo, però, la vita stessa è diventata una fonte diretta di ispirazione. Per esempio, il 2024 è stato un anno carico di emozioni forti e di perdite personali, e quell’esperienza ha influenzato profondamente questo album. Cerco di trasformare sia l’immaginazione sia le emozioni vissute in canzoni che riflettano il mio percorso e creino un legame con chi ascolta.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
EN – The main emotion I hope listeners take from my work is sincerity. I want to create a connection with anyone who might be going through experiences similar to mine, letting them know they are not alone. Music can be a form of support, a companion in both joyful and difficult moments. I hope my songs offer comfort, understanding, and sometimes even the courage to feel, reflect, or dream — a reminder that emotions, no matter how complex, are shared and valid.
IT – L’emozione principale che spero i miei ascoltatori percepiscano dalla mia musica è la sincerità. Voglio creare un legame con chi potrebbe vivere esperienze simili alle mie, facendogli sentire che non sono soli. La musica può diventare un sostegno, un compagno sia nei momenti felici sia in quelli difficili. Spero che le mie canzoni offrano conforto, comprensione e, talvolta, il coraggio di sentire, riflettere o sognare — un promemoria che le emozioni, per quanto complesse, sono condivise e preziose
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
EN – The most important lesson music has taught me is that if you have something meaningful to say, and it’s true, it’s always worth trying — even if you’re not the best or most skilled. In the end, listeners feel the honesty and sincerity behind your words, and that connection is what truly matters. Music has shown me that authenticity resonates more than perfection.
IT – La lezione più importante che la musica mi ha insegnato è che se hai qualcosa di importante da dire, e se è vero ciò che dici, vale sempre la pena provarci — anche se non sei il migliore o il più bravo. Alla fine, chi ascolta percepisce la sincerità e l’onestà delle tue parole, e proprio questo legame è ciò che conta davvero. La musica mi ha insegnato che l’autenticità ha più valore della perfezione.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
EN– Like many artists, performing at Sanremo is definitely a dream and an important milestone. It represents a point of arrival, but also a great responsibility. Over time, I’ve understood that reaching a stage like that requires a lot of work, growth, and preparation — not only for Sanremo, but for any major festival or venue.
Internationally, I dream of performing at festivals and stages known for strong artistic identity and storytelling, such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Primavera Sound, Viña del mar or intimate venues like the Royal Albert Hall. My goal is to keep building my artistic voice step by step, so that when those opportunities come, I’m truly ready to honor them.
IT – Come per molti artisti, Sanremo è sicuramente un sogno e una meta importante. Rappresenta un punto di arrivo, ma anche una grande responsabilità. Con il tempo ho capito che arrivare su un palco del genere richiede tantissimo lavoro, crescita e preparazione — non solo per Sanremo, ma per qualsiasi festival o venue importante. A livello internazionale, sogno di esibirmi in contesti che valorizzano una forte identità artistica e il racconto musicale, come il Montreux Jazz Festival, il Primavera Sound, Viña del mar o venue più intime e iconiche come la Royal Albert Hall. Il mio obiettivo è continuare a costruire la mia voce artistica passo dopo passo, così da essere davvero pronto quando certe occasioni arriveranno.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
EN – Dreaming big, Mina would be one of those almost impossible collaborations — she’s a true icon and an absolute giant of Italian music. Her voice and artistic legacy are timeless.
Among contemporary artists, I deeply admire Irama and Marco Mengoni for their emotional intensity and vocal expression, and Coez for his honesty and storytelling. Internationally, collaborating with Shakira would be incredible — her music, energy, and ability to blend cultures and rhythms are truly inspiring. Each of these artists represents a different world that I’d love to explore through music.
IT – Sognando in grande, Mina sarebbe una di quelle collaborazioni quasi impossibili: è un’icona assoluta e una gigante della musica italiana. La sua voce e la sua eredità artistica sono senza tempo. Tra gli artisti contemporanei, ammiro molto Irama e Marco Mengoni per l’intensità emotiva e vocale, e Coez per la sua sincerità e capacità narrativa. A livello internazionale, una collaborazione con Shakira sarebbe incredibile: la sua musica, la sua energia e il modo in cui fonde culture e ritmi sono pazzeschi. Ognuno di questi artisti rappresenta un mondo diverso che mi piacerebbe esplorare attraverso la musica.

Looking toward the future, what’s your dream for the next chapter of your musical journey?
EN – Looking toward the future, my dream is first of all to overcome my insecurities and grow through live performances, starting from intimate venues and building real experience on stage. I want to bring my music around the world and carry the Italian language with me everywhere — which is kind of funny, considering I’m Colombian and grew up in Italy.
I also dream of performing on bigger stages and festivals, and of expanding my sound by singing in English and Spanish as well. Beyond my own career, I hope to create spaces where young people and those with fewer economic opportunities can record their music and give shape to their dreams. Music should be accessible, and I’d love to give back what it has given me.
IT – Guardando al futuro, il mio sogno è prima di tutto vincere le mie insicurezze e crescere attraverso i live, partendo dai locali più intimi e facendo esperienza reale sul palco. Voglio portare la mia musica in giro per il mondo e portare con me la lingua italiana ovunque — ed è anche buffo, considerando che sono colombiano e cresciuto in Italia.
Sogno anche di esibirmi su palchi sempre più grandi e in contesti importanti, e di ampliare il mio suono cantando anche in inglese e spagnolo. Oltre al mio percorso personale, mi piacerebbe creare spazi dove i ragazzi e le persone con minori possibilità economiche possano registrare un brano e dare forma ai propri sogni. La musica dovrebbe essere accessibile, e mi piacerebbe restituire almeno una parte di ciò che mi ha dato.
What do you hope listeners will discover about you along the way?
EN – I hope listeners discover a human journey behind my music — made of doubts, growth, and honesty. I want my songs to feel like open doors, places where emotions are allowed to exist without judgment. If someone feels seen, understood, or simply less alone while listening, then the music has done its job.
IT – Spero che chi ascolta scopra un percorso umano dietro la mia musica, fatto di dubbi, crescita e sincerità. Vorrei che le mie canzoni fossero porte aperte, spazi in cui le emozioni possono esistere senza giudizio. Se qualcuno, ascoltandomi, si sente visto, compreso o semplicemente meno solo, allora la musica ha fatto il suo lavoro.
