Formula Indie Sessions _ Interview with Freebozzy

What is your earliest memory connected to music?
In my early years as a child, I was in a church choir. I have always loved music from a young age.
How did your passion for creating music begin?
Well, as someone who enjoyed music as a child, I quickly found out that music can heal, restore hope and connect. That interest grew over the years and I found myself creating music to uplift, inspire and heal.
What’s the story behind your current music project?
My newly released single holds a very special place in my heart. I wrote it for my partner and for the love that taught me patience, softness and how beautiful it can be to choose someone everyday.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
My music sound like emotional storytelling delivered through genre-blending vibes, always real. It’s warm, intimate vocal, honest lyrics and melodies that hit straight to the chest.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
Being in the moment
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
Well, initially I don’t rely on on instruments or softwares to create music. I get the melodies in my head, write out my lyrics and work closely with my producer to make it come alive.
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
There are more than one that I really like at the moment. The likes of Benson Boone,Ed Sheeran, Myles Smith, Sam Warren and many more
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
The basis of my songs are from personal experiences and it’s shaped how I write my lyrics. I believe there’s someone out there who needs to hear it or eh is going through the same process and that song is what they need to ride through either the storm or ecstatic moment.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
A Theresa that connects all of my songs is; Hope. I’d like my listeners to hear my song and feel more alive than ever before, to love more, to heal and connect more.
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
It has taught me to be genuine. It has taught me that genuineness is the mother of authenticity, and that’s what people need.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
I’d like to perform at the O2 arena, Wembley stadium, and the Super Bowl.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
I’d love to collaborate with Ed Sheeran because he is very true to his music and he is an inspiration to many upcoming arson including myself.
