‘After Effects’, is a breakthrough single for ‘Jzzy’ as she takes bold steps into new musical territory with her nostalgic new song about unfinished business and needing to go back to ‘have the last say’.. It’s edgy, a bit angsty and guaranteed to naw at your heart yet comfort your inner child. Her vision for this song was a combination of the two things she loves, a driving electric guitar and sick trap sounds with a hard hitting bass. The track opens with confessional lyrics and unfiltered vocals which paired with a ‘band sound’ are reminiscent of the Y2k classic ‘Teenage Dirtbag’.With her anthem like chorus (that really slaps!), Jzzy has created something moving and universally relatable while revisiting teenage angst only to let go and soar high above it.
