Bineal Roy, singer and multi-instrumentalist in Sydney psych-rock band Adaptors, has announced his first solo single, ‘Maybe’. With Adaptors, Bineal released a string of successful singles including ‘Closer’ (which had its video aired on MTV Australia), ‘Gossamer’ which aired on over 50 Australian radio stations and the cinematic ‘Crystal Eye’ with an epic video to boot. This song is a metaphor about the toxic relationships one can have with a person, habit and or substance. For us it was about to the toxic relationship that we have had with drugs and people we care for. It deals mostly with the delusional mind state that ones in when suffering with addiction. Instead of expressing these thoughts and feelings with gloomy and sad emotions we chose to express with anger and energy, relating to the other overwhelming emotions one can experience.
