Sol Arctica is the electronic-instrumental brainchild of Melbourne-based musician/producer Chris Lugton. The project fuses together musical styles and elements from a variety of genres ranging from retro synth to hard rock.
Originally from a hard rock/metal background, previously a touring musician and key songwriter for many projects, including a project that was awarded ‘Best Rock Artist’ in the 2016 Australian Independent Music Awards, Chris has performed both nationally across Australia and at an international scale as a session guitarist in Germany. On a commercial level Chris has also worked with producers to create music for advertisements and soundtracks.
