This single is the first song of a 10-song record, set to release in September. The project’s name, Kodiak, reflects on a yearly trip my dad and I take to fish in Kodiak, Alaska. Spending copious amounts of time surrounding by nature in its most raw form will throw you into intense introspection pretty quick (turns out).

I don’t write to gain notoriety or to try and be someone I’m not. I’m coping with life just like everyone, and learning how to do that through interesting, honest songwriting.

I’d read a blog post about an ordinary guy paying a little bit of extra attention to an ordinary thing any day!
