‘Tigerwoman’ by ‘Rose Thorn’ is an empowering song about self acceptance and self assurance. The correlation between the Tiger stripes and stretch marks was at first a way for the artist to open up about the difficulties of a never ending changing body and the way she anchored herself into that change and grew as a person. Tigerwoman is a concept, better yet, an allegory of the state we all wish to become: a confident and an unapologetic person that empowers others to do the same.
