Emo/Alternative Rock Solo SamSeb Kierkegaard With Single Release “Luna: The Invisible Irony” Discover that the 2nd February in Formula Indie

Kent-based alternative rock solo artist SamSeb Kierkegaard is leaning toward a different sound in 2021. Sam has started writing songs since the first UK lockdown. Ever since he transitioned from raw/grunge/psychedelic rock influence on his first single Metamorphosis (2020) to post-hardcore themes on his rendition of AURORA’s Forgotten Love (2021).

It is then Sam began experimenting mixing different sounds of post-hardcore and shoegaze, taking influences from My Chemical Romance, My Bloody Valentine and David Bowie for their dark and quirky aspects.

Now, Sam is gearing up to release an EP, fronted by new single “Luna: The Invisible Irony”.

On “Luna: The Invisible Irony”, SamSeb Kierkegaard deeply reflects on their innermost dark thoughts with the dialogue-like lyrics drawn from the stories he specifically wrote for the EP.

“’Luna: The Invisible Irony” is the first chapter of the story I wrote involving the boy, Luna Moonlight and Uncertainty the Monster. The boy escapes the city of Reality to the city of Dream and Happiness, being chased by a monster named Uncertainty, and the girl appeared under the moonlight to save him. The song tells you allegorically the imagery of people in exodus of colourless reality whilst being in pursuit of happiness and dreams, but they are still haunted by uncertainty which is the manifestation of their unconscious realisation that they need to face reality. Luna Moonlight- the girl who appeared under the moonlight wants to save him by encouraging the boy to go back to the town he came from, but the boy is in constant denial and convinces himself that he belongs in the city of Dream and Happiness and wants to live forever with Luna who doesn’t exist in reality.”
