Salaryman is a down tempo, considered take on loss, love and redemption from this usually more upbeat and riff driven band; however, it is no less poignant and affecting. Hugh’s melancholic tender vocal is supported by the quirky upbeat electro pulses of Stephen’s keyboards, whilst Ian’s languid 12-string guitar provides a Cocteau’s-like backwash.
