Scott says
Southern Love is inspired by my past relationship with a beautiful native girl of Austin that changed my life forever. It’s about rediscovering yourself after parting ways with someone and realizing no matter where you end up in life, love will always remain eternal.
I sing raw heartfelt rock to fuel the underdog spirit in us all to help confront insecurity, doubt, and fear. My sound is somewhere between Bruce Springsteen singing for the soul of humanity and the cathartic songwriting of Johnny Rzeznik.
Nicole Mendes of The Other Side Reviews wrote, “If Billy Joel were to have a lovechild with Bruce Springsteen and it was raised by Goo Goo Dolls, the chances are Scott Rocco would be it.”
