Don’t Ask Me tests the dynamics of your digital relationship (trust, love and just who comes between you and your phone)!?!

Do you know someone who is always looking at their phone?

And do you know someone who is always looking at your phone?

Its about that!

Don’t Ask Me blends this original song writing with the smooth grooves of the Tropics and a twist of old school funk, adding a UK dance edge. Esteemed British jazzman Rowland Southerland adds his silky flute to the mix to create a delightfully addictive groove and a post lockdown track that doesn’t miss a beat.

Accomplished guitarist & singer/songwriter Clive B Bossa has teamed up with his illustrious Bandits to re-imagine some of the most delightfully new feel-good songs in this genre.

Produced by Grammy winner Phil Ramocon (also playing keyboards). Phil has collaborated with Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Phil Collins, Talk Talk & Dua Lipa to name a few.

The rhythm section is headed up by percussionist Kofi Kari Kari (Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies & Soul 2 Soul).

Bossa Bandits will be releasing one of the 10 album tracks each month from January 2021 and hope to announce their festival dates in the spring.

London based artist/musician Clive B Bossa was on a surf trip to the northern beaches of Brazil in 2012 where he fell in love with the sound of Bossa Nova. As a guitarist and percussionist he was completely hooked and Clive has found himself returning to the beaches of Jericoacoara in Ceara state as often as possible so that he could play with the incredible musicians that are attracted to this spot. By 2015 he was regularly getting asked to play in some of the clubs and bars during his trips. Back in London Clive started to write and perform some of his own original Brazilian inspired material and the Bossa Bandits were born.

Initially the Bossa Bandits were a duo occasionally being joined by percussionist friends. Often invited to play early spots on bigger shows, things changed when Clive met up with Phil Ramocon in 2015. Phil, a successful musician and songwriter in his own right with hits and a Grammy to his name was so taken by these songs that he enthusiastically encouraged the Bossa Bandits….sitting in whenever possible himself on keyboards and backing vocals, always bringing other established artists to listen.

Fast forward to 2020 and after a few years of live shows but no thoughts to record these crowd pleasing songs everything came to a COVID- halt! It seemed there would be no better response to the lockdown of live music than to get into the studio and finally record these gems. Indeed we deliberately left our masks in shot so the work can be put into context.
