I wanted to make something guitar driven, taking influence from The Paper Kites, The National and singer-songwriters like Brandon Wolfe Scott. The song is about love an overcoming adversity. Being from Melbourne, Australia, the most locked down city in the world, distance from loved ones is really starting to take it’s toll. I wanted to make something that reflected this.
