The album was written and performed live over the past few years in clubs and bars in Astoria Queens, Manhattan, and Philadelphia,
taking on new life with each show. It is Farrell’s first release on Benibu Records, an independent record label created by Ben Taylor,
who mixed and mastered each track. Benibu Records donates 10% of its proceeds to various charities. “We’re really excited to join
the Benibu family.” Farrell commented, “Ben’s offered us extensive advice and has a great ear. Its great having someone like him
rooting for us.”
When asked about the delayed release Farrell said, “We wanted to wait for live music to return. Ben and Frank really did a great job of
capturing the energy of our live shows on this record, so we wanted to do it justice by waiting to release it with an accompanying
show. There’s nothing like playing live, even if it’s an empty dive bar in Queens.”
The record release will be celebrated in New York City at the East Village club Berlin
Under A at 7:00 PM (Eastern) on October 8. Farrell will be joined by NYC favorites,
Unruly Man as well as NJ’s Retroglyphs. “We wanted to have our friends who were
involved in creating this record on stage with us,” Farrell said, “Steve of Unruly Mane
was a cornerstone of the entire process, and Frank (of Retroglyphs) has become a mentor
to us. He’s really helped guide us through this ever-changing industry.”
Farrell has released a slew of singles in preparation for the highly anticipated album,
with the songs Tequila Shooters, Music for the End of the World, and Demons garnering
thousands of streams and downloads, as well as positive reviews from publications like
American Pancake and Tour Stories.

About JW Farrell
JW Farrell kicked off his solo career with the release of 2016’s Alexandria EP. Farrell spent the next few years developing his sound
as both a solo acoustic act and playing with various line ups throughout the Northeast region. Since the release of Francisville in
2019, JW Farrell has expanded into a raucous rock n roll outfit consisting of Steve Scarola, Tom Cordell, Pat Foy, and Stephen
Federowicz, each member taking on multiple instruments to best serve the songs.
The band’s high energy live performances and loyal fanbase have
garnered them attention in NYC and Philadelphia, where they will be
performing throughout 2021. Farrell’s material is a cathartic reflection
on navigating through the modern times blended with a variety of
musical influences, including his songwriting heroes, Jack White,
Bruce Springsteen, and John J. McCauley, as well as the sonic
influence of some of his favorite bands, The Raconteurs, Delta Spirit
and Deer Tick.
