When the beat was done and the melody was ready, I(Chris Aleshire) had to write. So, the premise of the song was about Sleep
Paralysis during REM that I had as a kid. Within the minute you fall asleep, you are in REM; however, I sometimes would wake
up mid-dream, see things but can’t run and can’t move at all because your body is still asleep but you are awake??? I had
trouble bringing color to the lyrics, so I took a trip to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in WV and took a tour. It’s extremely
haunted and on all the ghost shows. That gave me a lot of great ideas for lyrics and to add a ton of color!!!
